Rocio is a devoted advocate for the power of rest and mindfulness as pathways to self-discovery and connection. Born in the Dominican Republic, her journey has taken her from the vibrant energy of New York and Madrid to the serene landscapes of Australia, where she continues to share the transformative practices of yoga.

With  her foundational training in Hatha Yoga in India and has since specialized in Yin, Restorative, and Remedial Yoga. She is currently a senior teacher of international students in the Certificate IV in Yoga Teaching, mentoring and guiding aspiring yoga teachers in their journey.

In recent years, Rocio’s teaching has become deeply rooted in the practices of rest and awareness, inspired by the work of Tracee Stanley, Uma Dinsmore-Tuli, and Octavia Raheem. Meditation lies at the heart of her approach, blending alignment, breath awareness, and functional movement with practices like Yoga Nidra and walking meditation.

Rocio’s intention is to create a space where students can exhale deeply, relax into who they are, and nurture a loving relationship with themselves and others. She believes rest is a birthright and is passionate about keeping the conversation open about our collective need to slow down, soften, and embrace being over doing. Through her teaching, she invites students to reconnect with their essence, cultivating presence, ease, and a sense of belonging.
